OUR STORY
ABOUT TRISTAR
Tristar Beverages Limited is where tradition meets modern craft and ancestral craft meets bold, modern Flavor.
In the heart of South Eastern Nigeria, where the lush vegetations of Abia State whisper tales of resilience and celebration, a revolution is brewing and distillation is perfected. Tristar Beverages Limited is more than a brewery and distillery. It is a tribute to a people’s spirit of enterprise, the artistry of our ancestors and the bold flavors of our land.
Rooted in Heritage, brewed for the future. Our Founder Ogbonnaya Obiomah Igbokwe, grew up watching local palm wine tappers and maize brewers turn humble ingredients into liquid joy. Yet Nigeria’s thriving beer and spirits market rarely reflected the depth of South Eastern craftmanship. In 2023, he set out to change this narrative.
With copper still forged and installed in the ancient town of Ozu Abam, nestled in the ancient Local Governing Authority of Arochukwu, barrels made from Nigerian Oak, and grains sourced from local farmers, we began crafting spirits and beers that honour tradition while embracing innovations. Our small batch gin captures the botanicals of the Eastern Heartland, while our signature beers draw on the rich ingredients of our farms. From this spot, we satisfy the thirst of millions and make their celebrations joyous moments to treasure.
At TriStar Beverages Limited, we blend tradition with innovation to create premium beverages that celebrate Nigeria's rich agricultural heritage. Founded in 2023, we are a catalyst for sustainable development, partnering with farming communities in Nigeria to transform sorghum, Maize, palm wine, and other natural ingredients into refreshing drinks enjoyed across Africa. Our objective is to quench thirsts and ignite opportunities: Quality First: Every sip delivers authentic, natural flavors. Farm-to-Bottle Impact: We empower local farmers through fair-trade sourcing and skills training.
What Sets Tristar Apart?
Locally Empowered Supply Chain
- Our commitment starts with sourcing. Every bottle supports Nigerian farmers — especially women — who grow sorghum, maize, tropical fruits, and vegetables. Inspired by pioneers like Professor Geoff Palmer, we view this as more than procurement: it’s economic justice, distilled and poured with pride.

Tristar’s brewing and distillation processes are rigorous and meticulous.
Our fermentation is deep, clean, powered by endogenous enzymes and free of chemical catalysts. It has lab tested botanicals and artsanal techniques, ensuring that every sip carries the purity and quality deserving of our heritage. Our approach balances time honoured methods with scientific rigour, honouring the past while embracing the future.
Community-Centric Vision
Tristar invests deeply in its communities. From apprenticeship programs that teach brewing technology to youth in Abia State, to reinvesting profits into local infrastructure through robust CSR initiatives, we ensure that our growth is shared. We’re building a legacy that uplifts all.

Crafting Taste, Empowering Communities
Nestled in the historic town of Ozu Abam, Arochukwu, Abia State, Tristar’s heart beats to the rhythm of local farmers, artisans, and brewers. Here, copper stills handcrafted by local smiths distill the essence of indigenous botanicals, while Nigerian oak barrels impart unique character and depth to our products. Our ingredients — sorghum, maize, tropical fruits, and spices — are carefully sourced from the hardworking hands of local farmers, many of whom are women empowered through our community partnerships.
This is where tradition meets technology. Our fermentation is deep, clean, powered by endogenous enzymes and free of chemical catalysts. We ensure that every batch achieves the perfect balance of flavour, aroma and quality.
